A simple question...

number1gerifan

I have a simple question which I'm sure has a quite a simple answer.

I just got a new laptop and I loaded the itunes program on it. My ipod has all of its songs in it, and I just want to transfer the songs into my laptop's itunes program. I'm sure there is a very simple way to do this. The option it seems to offer me is to erase all the songs that are currently on my ipod, but all I want to do is get the songs from my ipod onto itunes. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx!

There is actually not an easy way to do it, because apple dont want people to be able to use the iPod to copy and share music, it being illegal if you don't own the music.

There are programs out on the internet which will do it for you though.

If you are on Mac then go to either macupdate.com or versiontracker.com and search around for "copy ipod songs" or something like that

If you are on Windows, download.com is ok, and versiontracker.com has a windows section as well.

Disclaimer:

Remember that i am not encouraging you to break copyright, because you indicated taht you own all of the music. Dont break copyright, its bad. Copying music that you own is fine, copying your friends is not. /Disclaimer

Hope this helps :)
